When I decided to genrefy my P-12 school library, I quickly realised that I couldn't find exactly what I wanted when it came to labels to help identify genres on the shelf. I wanted something bright, simple, and obvious, so students could identify the genres from a distance. I moved on to creating more and more labels to help identify books, and went on to genrify my primary non-fiction into broad, high-interest topics. The labels I created have helped to organise my genre shelves and increase visibility to patrons.​​
